Duke Wilfred Hermeien is the Chairman of the Congress in Elysion and leader of the academy, Hermeien holds the most political power in the world of The Last Remnant. Bound to the Remnant Gwayn.

Wilfred Hermeien is a sly political leader with the cunning to know how to play different sides against one another. He holds several different prestigious offices that make him the most powerful political figure in the world of The Last Remnant. He's the Duke of Nagapur, chairman of the congress in Elysion and chairman of the Academy. His position in the Academy affords him valuable insight into illicit Remnant research, knowledge with which he initiates the kidnapping of Irina Sykes. Hermeien presents an early challenge to Rush and David as they get caught up in his game to manipulate the powerful Conqueror into acts of aggression.
