Hi, welcome to The Last Remnant Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Lavafender page.
Feral Fangs and Blackdale[edit source]
Not only do Feral Fangs also spawn in the Cuspate Post in Blackdale, but they also drop Land Dragon Scales too :P Drake178 01:55, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
I just seen the other boys changes and tidied up his code man, well i hope i did. Late one last night - i think i changed one of your pages by mistake man - not too good at this wiki code changing stuff!
- It's cool, i'm here to keep things tidy! ;) Drake178 16:39, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Cheers man, your work here is amazing - everything looking good indeed - about the monster splits again - i am seeing a correlation in favor of - if you fight rare single then no rare split - like lepracaun core etc - if you fight rare with other monsters then i see the rares are more susceptible to being able to split them and get the rare split! Yous have played this game loads - i think you said it was random but is anything is this game random haha! Just wanted to confirm! I am having to fight like a rare 20 or so times with capturing him and still no rare split when fighting him singulary!
Any help is always appreciated!
- I've dissected the code responsible for loot a couple days back and the results of a split are not affected by anything you do, and by that i mean anything. On the other hand if it's a respawnable rare, linking it with other monsters does increase the chance of capturing it as long as its the last monster you kill in the battle. You can look up Monster Drops and Monster Splits for the exact mechanics if you haven't already, i've updated them a few days ago. Drake178 17:29, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Never seen the updated one man - that exact mechanics is class, very informative for me - didn't realise that about making the rare last in link! My first game i was capturing rare 9/10 times and this game its like kill rare 5 times to get a possible split and always common items. Out of the 20 rares i have killed only 1 rare split and i am BR40 now was starting to freak out - thats why i asked the question again haha. Cheers again for taking the time!
