Hiring Generals (PC)[edit source]

Is there any point to leaving generals on reserve? Do they get any benefit? If I dismiss them, would they gain stats/skills over time?Dragoknight9 01:42, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Leaving them on the bench means they'll grow faster than if you dismissed them from what I've found. How much they improve while not in the hired party hinges on how much your BR has risen since you've last seen them. If you leave them on the bench, then they'll still slowly grow according to how the active party behaves. I've had some pretty interesting things happen to the party... But you should be aware that they'll stop improving their stats once they hit Unit BR99. Once they do, the only way they'll continue to improve is by participating in battle. The only advantage of dismissing them is the skill growth, which is pathetic when compared to using them on rotation. Stat growth is faster when active or in reserves. Funny enough, also applies to soldiers on the PC version. Zephyr 01:56, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Do Generals Clone Too?[edit source]

Do Generals have the ability to "clone" items as well? I thought the soldiers just buy it with their money. Do they even have money?(PC)Dragoknight9 16:38, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

They do buy the accessories with their own money. No one really takes too much notice because of the monetary difference being rather small, and they'll only "clone" what you have/had in your inventory and based on the request rank. And soldiers have their own stash of money. Just check the "Check Items" tab. Zephyr 17:00, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

They DO improve in reserves (minor correction)[edit source]

As a frequent user of soldiers on PC (yes, on PC), it is worth poiniting out that even they improve when on the reserves (so that makes everyone in the reserves improving). Just to correct the paragraph that says that they don't; as for the growth rate through the entire game compared to that of them when not hired, it's pretty much the same (including athlum's army).

The rate of improvement is about the same for HP/AP/SPD/UP for when comparing to leaders of the same growth type. However, the growth rate for STR/INT is locked to +1.1%/unit BR, along with whatever chance based gains they get. The article focuses on the X360 version for obvious reasons, since they don't have a choice in the matter. Unless they want to go through the game with 6 units. The wording stays, but the Differences between Xbox 360 and PC versions page will be edited to reflect that. Zephyr 21:15, February 4, 2012 (UTC)
